Fantasy Football – GW5

We think the secret to doing well in Fantasy Football is to stay above the average weekly score as much as possible. This week we were 3 points below it, so lets hope this is the only time it happens this season.

Koscielny and Shaw kept clean sheets for our team, and for the fourth week in a row – we chose the wrong captain. A total of 34 points puts Team Leftbacks just below the average of 37. We have dropped 200 000 places which is not great but we find ourselves in the top 800,000 out of over 3.2 million people which is not a train smash.

As we’ve said every week, we are happy with our squad. We are still wondering whether we need to get Pedro in for Hazard but we want to give the Belgian one or two more weeks – class is permanent after all – andWe are sure he’ll come right. Our only weak link in the squad is Watford captain, Troy Deeney. With one assist and no goals this season – he needs to get the boot.

Fairly easy decision, with Deeney being a budget striker, it doesn’t leave us with too much to spend. At 5.7, Callum Wilson fits the bill perfectly. Four goals in his first four games and Norwich, Sunderland, Stoke and Watford to play in his next four fixtures, it’s one of the easier decisions we’ve made.

We haven’t made a correct captaincy decision this season yet. This weekend is a tough one, Payet is facing a horrible Newcastle defence, an in form Mahrez faces a poor Villa side, Wilson could score against Norwich. Aguero on the other hand, is playing a Palace side who have beaten Chelsea and just lost to Arsenal. We will however, go with the Argentine. He’s that good.
