After getting 3 points below the average last week, we were slightly disappointed, but we came back with a bang this week. We got a solid 14 points above this weeks average – so we’re happy once again.

Only Koscielny kept a clean sheets for our team this time around, and for the fifth week in a row – we chose the wrong captain. Aguero only lasted 24 minutes before being taken off injured. The two champions however, were Payet who scored twice, got three bonus points for a total of 16 and as usual, Mahrez, who has been this seasons superstar got two assists and three bonus points helping the Leicester man get 11 points.  A total of 55 points puts Team Leftbacks well above the average of 41. We climbed a massive 350 000 places which is absolutely brilliant, we find ourselves around the 450,000 mark out of over 3.2 million people which is a step in the right direction.

GAMEWEEK 4 TRANSFERS

When do we give up on Hazard? Starting at 11.5, and now 11.3, 1 assist and no goals is simply not good enough. But we are giving him another few weeks purely because of Luke Shaw’s midweek injury. The United defender broke his leg in two places and will be out for a minimum of six months. So he’s definitely out our side.

TRANSFER DECISION

We try not to make more than one transfer a week, but have decided to take a four point hit this week to upgrade Shaw (injured) and Toure (playing deeper role). Shaw has been replaced with Geoff Cameron. Yes, Stoke are bottom of the log, but their next six fixtures are Leicester, Bournemouth, Villa, Swansea, Watford and Newcastle – so he seems a decent pick. We then have extra funds to upgrade Yaya Toure. We are bouncing between Silva and De Bruyne and have decided to go with the safer option of Silva.

CAPTAIN’S ARMBAND

Simply theory here – we really want to choose Aguero, but have made 5 incorrect captaincy decisions so far. So we’ve gone with Wilson.
