Last week we were slightly apprehensive about jumping on the Riyad Mahrez bandwagon, but we did – and it paid off. We still didn’t reach the big points we wanted to, but it was a decent week.

Butland got us 4 points between the sticks, Shaw got his third successive clean sheet, Francis and Hazard both got assists and Mahrez found the net. A total of 46 points puts Team Leftbacks just above the average (45) once again. After going up 215,000 places last week, we dropped off slightly this week, finding ourselves inside the top 600,000 out of over 3.2 million people.

One thing that is bothering us, is that our big names aren’t scoring us points. Hazard and Ozil are the two midfielders we’ve splashed out on, but we’re considering their places. Hazard can be replaced with Pedro and leave us with 2 million extra in the bank, but we think Hazard will find form. Ozil though, as classy as he is, seems to be the player the assists the assister if you know what we mean?

For the reason mentioned above, we’ve decided to give Ozil the chop. His value is 8.5 and we have 0.9 in the bank, leaving us with 9.4 to spend. Manchester City have Watford, Palace, West Ham, Spurs, Newcastle and Bournemouth in their next six fixtures which seems favourable. We’d love to be able to afford David Silva but we’re 0.7 short. So we’re going to go for the next best thing…. Yaya Toure! The Ivorian is back to his best after a drop in form last season. His first three games has produced 16, 5 and 7 points and we’re hoping for more.

The easiest decision of the season. Aguero at home to Watford. The only tough decision is whether to play our triple captain chip or not. We going to rather wait for a double gameweek though.
